Duquesne Housing Agreement

Duquesne Housing Agreement

Accommodation is available on campus for Duquesne students throughout the summer semester. Current students can qualify for a free room (only in a double room) while enrolled for credit summer courses, as verified by the student`s academic advisor. Students are charged for accommodation during periods when they are not enrolled in credit courses. All summer visitors must have the Summer Flex Meal Plan. For more information, see Dining Services Summer Meal Plan. Please send accommodation contracts and verification forms by e-mail to the Office of Residence Life by e-mail to orl@duq.edu or by a stop at the Office of Residence Life in Assumption Hall. Starting in March, we will send a welcome email with a link to the residential preference form and agreement to any student who contributed to participate in Duquesne the following fall. You have the opportunity to tell us if there is a particular person you want as a roommate, as well as a number of things that will help us find a roommate for you if you don`t have the mind. You also have the possibility to let us know your preference for the type of room, etc.

We are able to offer PhD students accommodation in a studio at Brottier Hall or Vickroy Hall, a suite-style building on campus. Vickroy Hall is a suite-style building, opened in 1997. It offers suite-style accommodation and the building will be entirely composed of the upper class (juniors, seniors, 5th/6th year, graduates and law students). Each room in Vickroy is connected to a shared bathroom by a different bedroom. The building is located at the eastern end of the Academic Walk and will have a large new shared kitchen available to all residents of Vickroy (Rendering 1, Rendering 2, Rendering 3). Vickroy rooms are offered as an accommodation contract for the academic year (late August to early May) with an option available for the summer. Brottier Hall is a 20-storey apartment building with studio, 1 bedroom and 2 bedrooms. Each apartment is fully furnished and has a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, electric oven and microwave. All apartments have a private bathroom. Brottier Hall Housing contracts are offered as a 12-month lease. Look at the brochure of the bread animal Hall. If you receive your Commitment to Duquesne from the Admissions Office, you can pay your $500 deposit online, which maintains your place in the class and starts the process for you.

Campus life is an exciting and challenging part of the university experience. In Duquesne, about two-thirds of full-time students on campus live in residences called Living Learning Centers. (Find out why they are so much more than dormitories!). The Office of Residence Life helps everyone feel safe and at home. The Office of Residence Life provides highly qualified staff of Resident Directors, Assistant Resident Directors and Resident Assistants who assist these students every day (24 hours a day). Among their tasks, new students will receive your room assignments and contact information for their roommates electronically from the Office of Residence Life in early July. Apply and join our Summer Resident Assistant, Desk Staff or Team team. Applications are available by clicking HERE. Please note that space is limited.

If you are interested in this opportunity, would like more information or other possibilities, please contact the Office of Residence Life at 412.396.6655 or by email orl@duq.edu. Learning who and where you`re going to live with can be one of the most exciting parts of preparing you to come to Duquesne.
