Iuoe Local 150 Collective Bargaining Agreement

The biennial agreement provides for an overall increase of about 3.5% per year. Local 150 will continue to strive for a fair and equitable agreement that meets the needs of members and enables employers to succeed. As we enter the working season, there was enormous uncertainty. Some of this uncertainty is not yet outstanding. Some of them have been resolved. The Indiana office negotiates 140 different agreements, including the 4 County, 10 County, 14 County, Michiana Builders, NWI Contractors Association, Stevenson Agreement, and Michiana Builders Independent Agreement. That`s why we started working very early on different heavy & highway agreements in Indiana. On February 26, a vote on ratifying the treaty was held in the halls of Districts 6 and 7. Members working under these agreements have unanimously ratified a five-year treaty. These contracts set and protect different general conditions and do not contain any serious language change. In addition, we have negotiated for 4 County and Part 4 of 14 County wages that correspond to those we achieved three years ago during the strike. On the 10 County Agreement and section 10 county of the 14 County Agreement, every year also have an economy that goes beyond what was negotiated three years ago during the strike. As many of you know, this year is the first time in 70 years that we have had to negotiate these various construction contracts without a wage law in effect in Indiana.

In the absence of such a law, contractors across the country could propose public construction projects and succeed only because they offer little or no services to their employees and lower wages.
